Magnet Googo Review: Honest Assessment 2026
I've been using Magnet Googo for several months now as my primary magnet search tool on Android. I wanted to write an honest review — not a puff piece, but a real assessment of what works well and where there's room for improvement.
What Is Magnet Googo?
Magnet Googo is a free Android app that searches across 80+ magnet sources to find torrent magnet links. You type in a search query, and it aggregates results from dozens of sources, showing you what's available and how many seeders each result has.
The app is available at magnetgoogo.com. It's not on the Play Store — you download the APK directly. I know some people are wary of sideloading, but the app is lightweight and has been consistently reliable in my experience.

What I Like
The Source Coverage Is Unmatched
80+ sources is a lot. I've tried to find something that Magnet Googo misses, and I rarely can. When I was searching for a specific anime release last month, every other tool I tried came up empty. Magnet Googo found it on the third page of results from a source I'd never heard of.
This breadth means I don't need to bookmark 15 different torrent sites and check each one. One search covers them all.
Zero Ads
This deserves its own section because it's so rare. Most free torrent search tools are plastered with ads — pop-ups, banner ads, fake download buttons, redirect chains. Magnet Googo has none of that. The interface is clean and focused on search results.
I suspect this is partly because it's a passion project rather than a commercial product. Whatever the reason, the user experience is leagues ahead of ad-supported alternatives.
Fast and Simple
Open the app, type your query, get results. No account creation, no onboarding, no premium upsell. The results come back quickly — typically within a few seconds despite searching 80+ sources.
Direct Magnet Link Integration
When you tap a result, it offers to open the magnet link in your torrent client (I use Flud on Android). This one-tap workflow from search to download is what I use 90% of the time.
What Could Be Better
Android Only
The biggest limitation is platform availability. If you're on iOS, you're out of luck — and with Apple's sideloading restrictions, that's unlikely to change. No desktop version either. I end up using Jackett on my desktop when I'm not on my phone.
No Advanced Filtering
You can't filter by source, file size range, or upload date. Results are sorted by relevance, which is usually fine, but sometimes I want to narrow things down. For example, "show me only results from sources I trust" or "only files under 2 GB." These filters would be useful additions.
No Download History
The app doesn't remember your previous searches or downloads. If you searched for something yesterday, you need to search again. A simple search history would be helpful.
How It Compares
| Feature | Magnet Googo | 1337x Website | Jackett |

| Ads | None | Heavy | None |
| Setup required | None | None | Significant |

| Comments/community | No | Yes | No |
| Free | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Who Should Use It
Great for:
- Android users who search for magnet links regularly
- People who are tired of ad-riddled torrent websites
- Anyone who wants one search tool instead of checking multiple sites
- Users who value simplicity — no accounts, no setup, just search
Not ideal for:
- iOS users — no app available
- Desktop-only users — no web or desktop version
- Power users who want advanced filtering and automation — use Jackett or Prowlarr instead
My Verdict
Magnet Googo is the best free magnet search tool I've used on Android. The 80+ source coverage and zero-ad experience set it apart from everything else. The limitations (Android-only, no advanced filtering) are real but don't outweigh the core strengths for my use case.
I keep it on my home screen and use it almost daily. That's the highest endorsement I can give a tool — it's earned a permanent spot in my workflow.
If you're on Android and want a better way to search for magnet links, download it from magnetgoogo.com. It's free, so there's nothing to lose.
